As the nights get longer and the days shorter, it is common to find yourself finishing a hill walk in the dark. Get some practise in the company of a qualified and experienced Mountain Leader, and learn how to safely find your way off the hill once the sun has set.
This course is suitable for hillwalkers who can already use a map and compass to find their way across open ground in daylight. You should be able to take a bearing and know how to measure distance by pacing.

I've written a blog entry about walking in the dark. You can read it here: Who's afraid of the dark?
